I am just curious because I have heard it is not a lot.

I am in the UK and I am entitled to one years maternity leave where I work. I get full pay for the first 12 weeks and then half pay for 6 weeks. After that I am entitled to Government maternity allowance for 9 months. I only get this allowance because I work and have paid into the system.

im 16 and pregnant, can my father force me to live in a maternity home and tell them I can't see my baby's father or family?

I work and i am entitled to the Healthy start vouchers but i just wondered when i start my SMP will i be able to get the Sure Start Maternity Grant, what is the minimum income to get these.

Since I won't be getting my paycheck while I'm on maternity leave, what will happen with my health insurance? My employer pays most of it, but they still take about 0 a week out of my check for what I have to pay. If I'm not getting a paycheck while I'm on leave, how will my insurance be paid? I have short term disability that I pay into voluntarily every week, so that's what I'll be living off of while I'm out, which isn't really much. How will the insurance get paid?

When did you first wear maternity clothes? When did you start showing? Where did you get most of them?

I work for a very small company (the boss, me and another lady), when I take maternity leave will my benefits still be in place or is it up to the employer? What if I need to take an extended leave? Any web sites where I can check this out? I live in Michigan and Im not sure if Im going back to work after the baby is born. Thanks.

Hi! Im five months pregnant and in real need of maternity clothes. I have maybe three or four shirts that fit right now, and we're low on cash. I was wondering if there are any places online or something where I could find cheap or free maternity clothes??

The only reason I ask is because I am looking for insurance we are going to have the optional maternity coverage added. With my daughter I was 2 months pregnant when I got hired at the company that covered my maternity for her. Why did I not have to wait then, but now I have to?
Is it even worth getting the maternity option?
