How much paid maternity leave am I entitled to in Australia?

A friend of mine from work is going on maternity leave soon. She is only getting 9 weeks paid leave. We have both been working for the organisation for 2 1/2 years and are permanent full time workers. Is she entitiled to more paid leave?

I am a full time mum at the moment and would like to know if there are any online courses I can take from home to become a midwife or maternity care assistant . I would like to get started before my youngest starts school .

I'm currently employed full time and do a very small amount of self employed work also. I'm due to go on Maternity Leave in April and would like to know if I can have my full maternity pay and still do some self employed work?

You know how they say your maternity clock is ticking, if you want a child?
Well how do you know? Is it more than simply the urge to be a mommy?
What can you do if yours IS ticking, but you're only 20 and single, and don't want kids til you are established somewhat in your career?
Hmm...well apparently I had this a little mixed up lol I suppose what I really meant to ask was, more along the lines of...should at 20 I be already wanting children like crazy?! lol
I am not worried about the time running out, maybe the clock as someone mentioned, just had the batteries put in? lol
I know I could handle kids for sure, I love them and was a live-in full time nanny for half a year with a nearly two year old boy.
I also have worked briefly in a private daycare.
So I know I can handle all of that, its natural for me, but I am wondering if 20 is the average age or so for women to start desiring children seriously lol

Hi can anyone help? I am going to be claiming Maternity allowance im sending my forms off next week. Im Just wondering if i will also be entitled to the sure start maternity grant i think its about £500.My partner works full time and we are not on any benifits just wondered if i would be able to get it?
