looking to start new job after maternity leave and interviewing while 9 months pregnant?

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and looking to start a new job after my maternity leave.

I am curious how I would go about interviewing when I am obviously pregnant. My start date would also not be for almost 3 months out. I would like to start at the beginning of November.

I am afraid that these two matters combined will pull me out of the running for any jobs.

How long did you receive pay from your company while on maternity leave?

Wondering how long the average company pays you for while on maternity leave, if any?

My wife wants to know how to become maternity nurse where to go?

My wife is currently in school for Medical Assistant, she graduates in December and goes right back to school in February for her LVN for 14-18 months. She wants to know if a school exist for Maternity Nursing only, and where and how should she go about it? Labor and Delivery is the field of her choice, helping deliver babies and caring for expectant mothers before and during labor. She already knows that she must become an RN first but if you could give some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Working Mommies & Mommies to be: How early did you take your maternity leave?

How soon did you or do you plan to take maternity leave before your due date??? I was planning leaving at 38 weeks but as I get closer to my due date I think I am want to leave earlier. I just was wondering more or less when the average mommy to be left work???

BTW: my job is physically pretty easy. I'm in front of a computer screen 8-10 hours a day but very stressful at times, especially end of month and beginning of month.

How can I protect myself from getting fired when asking for maternity leave?

I have worked for a small subcontractor for the last 2 years, and I have maternity leave through the insurance provided through the company, but I've heard over the last few months, that the reason that there are no other female employees, is because they were "let go" after revealing they were pregnant. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas, or helpful advice on what I can do to protect myself from the same fate, or if there is some way to combat that kind of an outcome, legally speaking.

How Can I get paid maternity leave if my work doesn't offer any?

I work for an oral surgeon and because I havn't been here a full year I dont get any paid maternity leave. I can take as much time as I need just not paid. This is my first child and I can't stay out of work without a paycheck for long so I was wondering if anyone new if the government offered any sort of compensation for this situation..?? (And my work doesn't offer disability or anything) Thanks Renee*

Are maternity pants that are too tight bad for me or my baby?

I got some maternity capris today and i had to get a size extra extra small because that is the only size that fits good right now, it fits great but the maternity band part is a little tight. How tight is too tight for me? Will it hurt my baby if the band is too tight on my tummy because the band goes to my belly button? Or will it be dangerous for me healthwise?

How to add maternity on the insurance I already have?

I know little about insurance and I have never been pregnant before. My husband and I may decide to start having children in about a year. I currently have individual blue cross blue shield and I don't believe it covers maternity. Do I call them and select a plan that has it, are there other plans that may suit me better?
What other option are out there? Who qualifies for medicaid?

Would you be willing to take a paycut to get paid maternity leave?

Or pay into a fund? If your company doesn't have a paid maternity leave benefit?
The idea would be to put money aside to pay you while you are on leave.
Canada's parental benefit is unfair to men but good for women. Canadians pay taxes through the nose though.
