What are the requirement for Saskatchewan Maternity Leave?

What are the requirements for saskatchewan maternity leave? I see some places say its 600 hours and some say its 20 weeks. Now if it is 20 weeks does it have to be 20 weeks at the same place?

When are you leaving work on maternity leave?

I am nearly 30 weeks and my work is asking when i am going to resign as I am not entitled to maternity leave.

I am sick of working already and am getting really big and uncomfortable right now ( as many of you understand) and think I will leave in four weeks. 6 weeks before I am due. We have to movwe house if not done by then already and set up all the nursery and I would really love some time to sleep and just put my feet up.....

Is it normal to have mixed emotions going back to work after maternity leave?

I am feeling quite sad after being with my baby 2 months and now I have to go back to work. I feel somewhat guilty. If you are a working mom, please let me know how you handled going back to work after maternity leave. Thanks!

My wife doesn’t have maternity insurance, how early do we need to start our policy before she is pregnant?

We don't have any health insurance however sense we are about to start a family we want full coverage for maternity. She is planning on becoming pregnant in mid February to mid March. Also we want a policy that she can choose a really good doctor and hospital. Also we are curious to know what the monthly payments should be and if we would have any outside expenses beyond these payments. Can anyone help us with these decisions.

Thank you.

What are the pros and cons of starting maternity leave early?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and really starting to feel tired and cranky! I have a cushy office job so I figured I'd just work up until I delivered to save vacation time. Is there a compelling reason to start maternity leave early? I don't want to sit home with nothing to do, but it's getting really hard to be at work!

ALSO--if you started maternity leave early, how soon before your due date did you leave?

I left my work after maternity and then sick leave, am i entitled to my annual leave i accrued?

I went from maternity leave striaght to sick leave and then handed my notice. Am i entitled to my annual leave which i had accrued during the time off? My employer has said no, but i am just looking to double check.

How long are teachers on maternity leave?

This one teacher was due in the middle of July, and is effective until the middle of November. Isn't that a long time to be on maternity leave?

What is a good website to buy good but inexpensive maternity clothes?

By inexpensive i mean at most for a top and for a pair of pants. It is rediculous how maternity is so expensive when you only wear them for a short time and they are never good quality. My second pregnancy and my clothes from the last pregnancy look so old

Teachers: How long did you have to work before getting maternity leave benefits?

I'm curious how long you have to work in a teaching position before you can take extended maternity leave and still have a job to return to when you decide to go back to work.

Thanks!

How can my friend get maternity coverage under her insurance policy?

My friend and her husband have private insurance (he is self-employed) and they did not select the "maternity" option because they were done having children. Unfortunately they took a risk and now she's pregnant. They are actually not thrilled by the pregnancy and are pretty devastated in general, emotionally and financially. Her insurance won't cover anything and they are looking at ,000 out of pocket for the whole pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

Are there any creative ways that she can get her policy to cover it? Or where could she work part-time to get coverage? Or are there any organizations she could join to get a new policy (Major organizations that would have an insurance buy-in option?)?

I feel lucky to be covered under my husband's job! What a terrible position to be in.
