I'll be on maternity leave from September to January and am looking for ways to save money or make some extra money during that time. Any ideas?
Hmm, no thanks to baby sitting... I already have two kids of my own plus another on the way.

I work for a very small company (the boss, me and another lady), when I take maternity leave will my benefits still be in place or is it up to the employer? What if I need to take an extended leave? Any web sites where I can check this out? I live in Michigan and Im not sure if Im going back to work after the baby is born. Thanks.

My company does not offer any sort of paid maternity leave, so I was planning on buying short term disability insurance to cover part of my 12 week maternity leave. Are there short term disability plans that will cover my salary 100%. Does anyone have one they have used and that they can recommend? Thanks!

(I was just reading that in most European countries and Canada you get a YEAR paid maternity leave and free medical. It's not fair!!!)
