I work and i am entitled to the Healthy start vouchers but i just wondered when i start my SMP will i be able to get the Sure Start Maternity Grant, what is the minimum income to get these.

Since I won't be getting my paycheck while I'm on maternity leave, what will happen with my health insurance? My employer pays most of it, but they still take about 0 a week out of my check for what I have to pay. If I'm not getting a paycheck while I'm on leave, how will my insurance be paid? I have short term disability that I pay into voluntarily every week, so that's what I'll be living off of while I'm out, which isn't really much. How will the insurance get paid?

I asked my HR department at work and they were unable to tell me how much disability I will be receiving during my maternity leave and I'm curious just for budgeting purposes.

I live in California and I think I'm eligible for 4 weeks before my due date and 6 weeks after birth. I also know that I can take more time off without pay, which I'm planning on.

I’m 23 weeks pregnant. My employer isn’t required to give me maternity leave (FMLA only protects employees who have been at the same company for a year). But I think that my employer would allow me to take unpaid leave or re-apply when I’m ready to go back.

How many weeks should I ask for? My doctor says that I’m going to have a vaginal birth, unless something changes. How many weeks would I need to recover after a C-section?

I'm egyptian living in Egypt and planning to move to the US, my wife is pregnant right now. I believe giving the baby birth in the US will help him get the citizenship and accordingly will help me in my future plans, I'm loking for the cheapest way to cover the maternity cost in the US, I have relatives in NJ where I can stay with, but I'm open to visit any other state.

My friend is returning to work after maternity leave soon, we work in care and my employers have told her that she has to do a sleep in every week, she cant do this as she has no one to look after her child, they have told her that if she wants to work in care she must do this, otherwise they will just give her part time hours in the kitchen, can they do this? She's really worried and I feel sorry for her.

A friend of mine from work is going on maternity leave soon. She is only getting 9 weeks paid leave. We have both been working for the organisation for 2 1/2 years and are permanent full time workers. Is she entitiled to more paid leave?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first and am very confused about what I'm able to receive as far as pay during maternity leave. I'm employee through a temp agency and am not using their insurance, I'm using my husbands, do I still get disability leave? Also, how does the 6 weeks bonding law work? Any help is appreciated, thank you so much!
