I am planning to return to work (NHS) after my maternity leave finishes but am also thinking of starting my own buisness which i may be able to get off the ground before i am due to return to my employer.
Can i work self employed whilst receiving SMP? I live in the UK.
Anyone have any experience of this?

We live in Texas, we have insurance and disabilty insurance through work but disability insurance won't kick in till January 2011. So, is there anything else out there that I may not know about such as Government programs while being on maternity leave?

I'm just curious. I'm seven weeks pregnant and can't wear my fitted clothes anymore because they're not comfortable. I don't really want to start wearing maternity yet, but considering it. I don't know.

Can you work right up until you go into labor? Is it difficult to do that because you don't feel well physically? Do pregnant women typically start their maternity leave before giving birth, and if so, at what month usually?

I am only 12 weeks but none of my normal clothes fit and the bella band just annoys me. I bought a maternity top but I only have a tiny, tiny bump so it looks silly on me.

I'm currently 4 months pregnant. My current job is stressfull. I can find a new job that gives insurance, but what about doctor's appt and maternity leave? Since I won't be at that job for 1 year what will I get.

I asked my HR department at work and they were unable to tell me how much disability I will be receiving during my maternity leave and I'm curious just for budgeting purposes.

I live in California and I think I'm eligible for 4 weeks before my due date and 6 weeks after birth. I also know that I can take more time off without pay, which I'm planning on.

A friend of a friend is doing my maternity photo shoot and I want to know what would be a good wardrobe for this special day. What clothing or accessories should I have at hand. Where can I get like a drape or fabric for semi nude pics? Lingerie? Any serious suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
Also I want my 19 month old to be in some of the pictures, what should I have her wear?
