Around what month of pregnancy do most women start wearing maternity clothing? When did you?

This is my second pregnancy, but I can't remember when I started wearing maternity clothes. I am pretty small and wear size 4 clothes so it seems like it was a bit far along before I did. When did you?

I am starting my 2 month of pregnancy and I can still fit into my normal clothes. I am a size 8-10, so I have no idea when I will first start showing.

With my 3 year old I never wore maternity clothes, I just wasn’t into it then. Now i’m 32 weeks with another little boy and started wearing them around 5 months. I also started showing sooner with this baby, around 19 weeks, as opposed to 7 months with the 3 year old.

I started wearing the pants with the stretchy waist around 18 weeks because they’re so comfy and I was tired of my zipper and button digging into my stomach. I’m still wearing regular shirts, just trying to buy them a little longer.

I started with my second pregnancy about 10 weeks. I didn’t have a huge stomach but my pants were feeling too tight, and I didn’t want to buy more pants that I would just get too big for too fast.

With my first pregnancy I started wearing maternity clothes around 18 weeks. With this pregnancy I started wearing maternity clothes at only 9 weeks! I wore a size 3 before conceiving, so I started showing a lot faster, plus the second time around the muscles in your tummy are stretched out a bit so your tummy will give in faster.

    Good luck! ;)

I started wearing maternity jeans around 12-14 weeks. I still don’t really wear maternity shirts & I’m 25 weeks. I just bought some normal clothes in size large. I have worn some maternity shirts that were given to me, but they aren’t the typical style of maternity. Basically they just looked like large shirts too.

Every pregnancy is different and sometimes is really all depends on what you’re having. With my first pregnancy (it was a girl), I had to start wearing maternity clothing when I was 6 months pregnant. During this pregnancy (I am 9 months with a boy), I didn’t have to start wearing it until I was almost 8 months. I was still wearing the same sized jeans as before I got pregnant when I was 6 months pregnant with this one. Like I said, it all depends. Just have them ready for whenever your body starts growing like a weed. =D

every woman is different, you wear them when you feel it is time, like if your normal clothes are not comfertable anymore.

I started wearing looser clothes at 10 weeks, not because I was too big for my jeans, but they were just more comfortable.

  • cocobear41107 says:

I started wearing maternity clothes pretty early because i found that was easier than squeezing into my regular pants. I’m now 23 weeks and wear maternity pants on a daily bases.

    hey hun,

I started buy bigger size clothes that covered my belly until week approx 24.
When my belly was popping out front i needed bigger shirt so i bought maternity shirts. & dresses.
I bought Jeans – maternity but on wore them once or twice at 16 weeks,.

After 24 weeks i always wore skirt or dresses
    god bless x

When your jeans won’t zip up or button on anymore.
    Doesn’t really matter…

People here wear it asap so they can get a seat in the train or buses.

i was in 6th month but they were so big i has to tighten them on the sides

  • Kyian says:

I never really wore maternity clothes. I was small enough not to have to. But my tummy started getting big around 6 months so I’m sure that is about when other moms start wearing maternity clothes.
