How far along were you when you first wore maternity clothes?

I am 14 weeks. I feel comfortable in the few maternity clothes that I have, as opposed to feeling fat and stuffed into my regular clothes. I just feel kinda silly (I know sounds shallow) for wearing maternity clothes now. I am showing some, but just barely. In fact my tummy just popped out a few mornings ago. The top of my tummy is bigger than what I have read it should be for this early.

With my first daugher I was around 16 weeks or so before I started showing. With my secon daughter I started wearing clothes around 12 weeks. Wear maternity clothes whenever you feel comfortable!! With as much as they cost now, I would wear them as much as possible and get all my money’s worth out of them!! :)

Every woman is different, I was about 24 weeks when I started wearing maternity clothes. Don’t feel silly, it’s great, make yourself as comfortable as you can.

I started wearing maternity clothes at 8weeks!!! I felt silly, but i was comfortable and there was no way i could fit into regular clothes. Im now 27weeks, and can hardly fit in my maternity clothes, so im not sure what to do for the next 3months!!!

I’m 14 weeks 6 days pregnant and I wear maternity jeans all the time. It hurts my tummy and makes me achy when I try to squish into my regular jeans. Luckily all my weight is in my tummy, but I do have a bump going on. I bought my jeans about a month ago and just started wearing them all the time this past week. Anytime you want to, you can wear them, don’t feel silly! It’s about comfort.

I’m 34 weeks now and for the most part I am still wearing regular clothes, however i don’t go anywhere without my bella band, which you can buy at JCPenny.com. I roll my pants down and my shirt rides up, but with the bella band it just looks like I’m wearing an undershirt. It also gives me extra back support. They cost like $30 but was well worth it I bought 4 in all colors and it saved me tons on maternity clothes

I started wearing maternity clothes just recently, I am now 20 weeks. However, I wasn’t able to button my regular pants for quite some time now, I just finally sucked up my pride and bought maternity clothes, and now I am so much happier and comfortable.

The most important thing is feeling good and feeling beautiful. Wear what makes you comfortable and happy, everyone is different!!!

I started wearing maternity pants around 10 weeks. I gained a whole bunch of weight real quick and didnt fit into anything! I felt silly too at first but atleast i wasnt buldging out of my pre pregnancy pants.. lol So dont feel silly its just fine wear what you feel comfortable in.

I wore mine at about 12 weeks, this is my second child and I showed way sooner than my last pregnancy.

I still can’t fit back into my first pair of maternity pants! Lol I could only wear them for about a month and i started wearing them at about 12 weeks along! We found out we were having a boy at around 14 weeks and i bought those pants before that. I actually couldn’t wait until i could wear maternity clothes. Ugh so depressing….brings back memories of my cute smooth stomach….it’s all painted with stretch marks now! Haha Good luck on your pregnancy :o )

Oh ya and i carried low through out my whole pregnancy and i gained too much weight from the start. So that could be the reason for showing so soon.

With my first baby, I never wore maternity clothes, per se. I just bought bigger woman’s clothes.
With my daughter, I bought a maternity nightgown and shirt near the end of my pregnancy because other people do..
I guess I am no help at all.
    :(

I was 10 weeks when i first bought my first pair of maternity pants. Back then i could still wear a few of my other pairs of pants. Now that I am 16 weeks I can only wear maternity pants! None of my pants fit! I believe that wearing maternity clothes at 14 weeks is completely normal! It’s all about your comfort, not what everyone else thinks!

  • piggly5000 says:

I started wearing my maternity jeans at 14 weeks too. I started to pop and all my high waisted jeans were just too uncomfortable. I’m in week 18 now and I have a few maternity shirts that I like to wear because they’re really cute with the small tummy and cover the panel on my maternity jeans really well. I can still get away with regular t-shirts etc… but they look kind of sloppy and I like the more tailored stuff. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! :)
