It’s probably just water retention for you, 5 weeks is extremely early. You can purchase a bella band, which allows you to remain in your normal jeans, but leave them unbuttoned without them falling off of you.

I’m nearly 28 weeks and still have not purchased maternity anything. I’m just now starting to show.

i didn’t start showing untill I was almost 7 months. Girl if you are uncomfortable take the plunge! Get you some maternity pants. They have many styles where it doesnt even look like maternity jeans so go for it. You will be more comfortable and you will use them for the next 8 months! Its worth it. You dont really want to spend alot of money on mt. pants so go to Kohls. I bought somethings they had at motherhood (at $50) there for about $25. Good luck! Congradulations on your little bean~!
